Yes, T; current imports from Iraq are tiny. Yes, we get most of our oil from Canada. But Canada is well past its peak production - then we will need it from somewhere else won't we? Guess which country is projected to not pass its peak for the next 10 to 20 years? (There are only two of them, and one is a place we would not dream of invading). Then go look at the "Project for a New American Century" plan that was written in the mid-1990s when Clinton was president.
