Slightly off-topic as they didn't really visit me, but this morning, walking the dog round the housing estate pre-sunrise, I enjoyed the dawn callings of the many local blackbirds who seemed on good form today. This was then surpassed by the noise of a large flock (clamour?) of hundreds of rooks flying from rookery to field. Nature has the most remarkable spectacles sometimes. It fair set me up for the day (the dog was unimpressed though).
