I've been topping up my stocks of semi-precious from flea markets, where Victorian glass is now quite beyind reach. That's where the garnets, and some opaque amber have come from. Also, one of the charity shops was selling stretchy bracelets at a ridiculously low price, in rose quartz, haematite, and other things. I've also a malachite necklace, which, on second glance, is too good to be broken up and re-used. I do apply a test to what I buy, as I won't re-work something made with a good element of design in it. It isn't respectful.

I won't use lapis, now I've found out where it comes from, though I have a necklace myself which came out some time ago.
