It can be very helpful to know which words are commonly deemed 'offensive' in various cultures & countries.....remember, in the US, 'fanny' is almost neutral, referring, for most people, only to the gluteus maximus,...as in where one spanks a child (if one does at all).... butt, bottom, posterior...etc.
