For those of you who do not know, Cystic Fibrosis in an inherited disease from two parents who are carriers of the CF gene. A child from those parents has a one in four chance of having the disease. Many couples of course never realize that they are carriers and can have any number of children without them being affected. The children however could be carriers and this is how this disease misses out generations.
The disease mainly effects the lungs and digestive system, the mucus being much thicker than a normal child.
