Wesley, I think you're onto something. I too have seen a lot of the stuff around, but I never got around to counting them until just now.

I found 6 bottles or tubes in the bathroom, 4 in the bedroom, and 1 in the kitchen. And those are just the ones sitting out in plain sight. I have a hunch if I started poking around in drawers and closets and her many suitcases, backpacks, and tote bags, I'd find more.

I do use the stuff occasionally, but I never bought any, and I don't have any I can call my own. If I need it, I just use some of my wife's. I don't care which brand; I just take whatever is most convenient.

I used to watch the TV show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." I actually thought some of their tips on clothing, home decorating, and cooking were pretty good. But when they got around to "grooming" and started pushing the moisturizers and so on, I was repulsed. NO WAY am I going to start putting stuff on my face, I thought. That is just TOO GAY.

Well, I am no longer so adamant. Maybe it has something to do with getting older. In the last year or 2, I have noticed the skin on my forehead getting a little scaly. Then I have a tendency to scratch it. Then it gets sore and noticeably red. A little lotion tends to prevent this.

Heaven help me if I ever start comparing brands.
