I'm not sure what statement I made you would object to, or what the current state of the national sides has to do with it. I'm just suggesting it seems very strange if the host country doesn't field a team in their national sport. Hasn't it occurred to anyone that exposure of younger players to this type of competition could only help in the future when they may rejoin their respective national sides? I'm curious what the reaction to the London Olympics in general is in Scotland .Wales and Northern Ireland ? If I lived that close to the competition. I could hardly wait for it to begin.
