Thread Name: BS: Women and lotions
Subject: RE: BS: Women and lotions
I can explain all those little bottles of lotions scattered hither and yon in drawers, toiletry kits and suitcases.
I have them too-compliments of young nephews, sons and neices, co-workers who draw names for Xmas parties with $3.00 limits, neighbors you have helped out, the occasional client, or a co-worker you have mentored and who feel the need to express their thanks occasionally with a small gift, not to mention the sample bottles of lotions, shampoos and conditioners collected from hotel stays.
I appreciate the thought, and tend to think I might need them or use them sometime, tuck them away in a drawer, a "miscellaneous" box in the bathroom closet, or drop them in my purse. 4 or 10 years later I stumble across a stash and toss them. (That is not to say that many women {or men} might would really use them over time.)
I thought of this thread with a smile this evening when someone presented me with a little Bath & Body Works packaged gift box containing three 2oz bottles of differently scented body lotion. I was also thrilled! I don't carry hand lotion with me and my hands were dry and hurting, particularly the tips of my fingers at the top of the cuticles where the cracking and bleeding starts. I immediately opened one of the bottles and applied the lotion. Dropped it down in my purse, and stashed another bottle in the glove box. Very handy, except that I will most likely forget I did so.
