This is a true story. It proves that deer also qualify for Darwin Awards.

A friend of my family works about 400 acres in West Central Illinois. Last weekend he and his son were combining the corn -- it's been a very wet year, so combining was late. Anyway, an 8-point (Eastern count) buck deer was taking a rest in the cornfield. It jumped up as the combine approached and ran directly into the machine. Fortunately, the combine was damaged, but the hide clogged it so badly that it had to be taken apart and our friends lost about six hours of work time.
