Jean has been on our mind a great deal this year. It was in our early Revels years that Jack Langstaff created an American version of The Christmas Revels just for Jean. She stayed at my home and was (and still is)so gracious. My mother, who was really not an arts person, attended Jean's performance and said afterwords "I don't know who that woman is, but she is really someone very special." Still true today. This year's Revels in Cambridge MA is still "Jean's show" in many ways, filled with beautiful music and story telling, and now so ably performed by tradition bearer Susannah Park.
