I'm not sure how a presenter on the BBC Breakfast programme qualifies as a "peasant", but I think the posts here represent more of a response to the lack of research that often accompanies folk music when it is presented in the mainstream media. No one expects a BBC TV presenter to necessarily be able to identify a melodeon when it is presented to them for the first time, but surely if you are going to do an interview on national television, a bit of background research is not too much to expect.

I'm reminded of Alan Partridge's question to a guest: "So, your autobiography. What's that about?"
