They have stated their intention to do everything they can to prevent any kind of public option being a part of any kind of health care reform bill. The Republicans are unanimous in their opposition to a public option. It doesn't matter for the purpose of this discussion whether or not they have been able to put forward any proposals of their own, since none of them would include a public option, and it is the public option that we are talking about here.
