Apart from seeing many good performers at the Star in the 80s, I did a gig there with Martin MC-ing in his usual efficient/entertaining manner. Mid-song, someone came from the bar carrying a tray of six pints of Robinson's ale. They promptly dropped the lot on the floor in front of me and I was drenched in beer and pieces of glass, not to mention the sound it made. Martin complimented me after as he said 'you never missed a note'. Paul and I would be pleased to support The Star folk if it is meeting again.
