Well, Mrs Scrooge, bearing in mind we don't actually use the Sation anymore for New Year that doesn't apply! My children have been a part of the sing around crowd in the Tap and Spile as was for many years, somesince before they were born. The former landlords always made New Year a regulars and friends night so the children could join in the fun. I wouldn't expect to take them into a busy pub open to everyone on New Year's eve because I doubt they would enjoy it but I do not agree that it is for adults only. New Year is for anyone who wants to celebrate. We will be enjoying what time we do have in Whitby with good friends and will be with them in spirit(s?) as the bells ring in the new year!
