Hmmm...there's the "woodhenge" at Cahokia Mounds, and strong evidence in the Chaco culture, and the petroglyphs of the American West, and the ancient Chinese, and the various cultures of South and Mesoamerica...why WOULDN'T indigenous peoples be as astronomically minded as we are or even more so, since light pollution hadn't dimmed there view of the stars?
