My question, since I did not see a mention in the story, is how old is this bowl. Has it been carbon dated, or found in a datable context? How far back can Australo-aborigines be traced? Certainly in Egypt and Mesopotamia astronomical observances were recorded as far back as the 4th millenium BCE, perhaps earlier.
