I think it is only fair to point out that not all scum floats. Have you ever looked at the bottom of a pond or for that matter, the bottom of the Thames? And what do you find down there? Scum! An incredible amount of it too. If it floated, it wouldn't be on the bottom, now, would it? Ha! Got you there!

I rest my case. Most scum does not float.

In fact...only the aristocratic scum that can't get along with all the other common scum floats, and the aristocratic scum then hogs all the attention by floating to the top so that people think it's the only scum there is, but that's just not true! Common scum outnumber aristocratic scum by at least 10,000 to 1.
