Crooked politicians in league with crooked lawyers can take ANY constitution on Earth and commit travesties and injustices in its supposed name.

Not that I'm saying Lincoln was a crook...I'm just saying there are always ways to get around the original intent of a constitutional document if you have sharp lawyers and determined politicians and compliant courts...not to mention a largely subservient media.
