Barbara, I think you are correct. It was common in the 18th and 19th century to print songs chorus first, and this has led to confusion on more than one song. In the 18th century it was common to have the heading be the tune to which the song was to be sung, rather than the title of the song, and this has led to incorrect identification of the song given on several occasions.
