You are all thinking just a litlle more deeply than Will meant, I think. I think he was just saying, looking back on it, that in his opinion, he was a pretty brainless kid to have sold off that prosperous bunch of cattle and taken off to places unknown. BUT, I also think he was just poking fun at himself and would not have changed that decision for the world.
