With great, non-trad medical ideas he backs with real science, who has learned how to communicate effectively with stay-home folks and recently took his own show instead of poaching on Oprah's, where he got his start as a mass-media dude.

Effective: as in, people who dig him do actually try what he suggests, including needed (overdue) medical testing. With enough patient-ed to back up their interactions with managed-healthcare salespeople wearing doc's coats. :~)
