We had a robin the other day...on the snow too..He looked as if he'd jumped out of a Christmas Card. I'd just removed a whole pile of dead branches from a flower bed and he was there instantly, with sparkling eyes, licking his little beak with wormy anticipation...

I love robins, as they always remind me of my dear Dad, who had a Gardening Robin, who'd fly onto the handle of his spade...Dad would whistle softly to him, as that little bird cocked his head from side to side, listening...and watching for juicy worms..
