Yes Dave H, I for one remember following the Grass Roots around its various venues in Halifax.

I also remember packed Sunday-night sessions at the Fleece in Addingham in the late sixties and early seventies - so packed that beer, and sometimes clientele, were passed in through the windows. The singing was led by the landlord and a pal of his, known collectively as the Two Daves. Many moons ago I mentioned the Fleece on Mudcat, which months - or even years? - later prompted Leadfingers to send me a PM which he will not mind my pasting here:

I hit Addingham in May or june 1977 , and finished up doing a Charity concert in the village hall in the August !
One dave died and the other (Pub Landlord) gave up the pub and became a Councillor ! Lost track in the late eighties But they were both good lads ! - Terry
