There was a previous thread about it with a translation. About "la plus jeune eut le pied levé" I do wonder if it's about coming aboard. I'd rather think that her having had a "foot up/raised foot" has the same meaning of her having had "a light leg/thigh", i.e. that she yelded far too quickly to the -let's hope handsome- sailor. A woman "with a light leg/thigh" is a loose woman.
