Better still, when specifying thread links, rather than links to specific posts, it's best to omit the "&message" bit and everything thereafter. Otherwise, if that post happens to get deleted (or threads get merged or split?), the URL may become unresolvable. If you chop off the end of the URL in your location bar, it may work properly.
