Not getting at you flattop but I think that there is a case for using PM (or possibly other means) and I am only looking back a couple of days here...

The difference with the ones I feel are better placed in PM's and the examples you quoted is that the former only address one person and the situation would rapidly get out of hand if everyone regularly used the forum in that manner.
