Just made myself some tea (because I CAN!), talked to Tom and my boss. My boss is okay with me not being at work today.

Tom needs to get some more info from the social worker at the hospital. Now they're saying Medicare won't pay for the first I-don't-know-how-long at the nursing facility -- but he can get the antibiotics FREE from Hannaford's. That means it would be more expensive to go to the nursing facility than to GO HOME and do it himself. I really wish the people at the hospital had a clue. This is majorly annoying.

And, of course, because of the weather, he may not be moved today at all -- gives him a fighting chance of getting some answers.

Went outside to get a bit more wood and found my footprints from 2 hours ago had filled in and the deck and steps again needed to be shovelled so that walking on it wouldn't guarantee a layer of uneven ice from now until May.
