Our Senator Brownback has TWICE proposed a Constitutional Amendment to prohibit the U. S. Supreme Court from hearing any appeal of "any action by any public official that said official affirms was based on his or her religious belief" - or something to that effect. Of course he means only "Christian belief" since that's the only religion he thinks anyone might have, although there are reports he's been studying Buddhism "just in case."
