Hi Lena. Boyfriend disappeared, eh? Maybe you're lucky. It's the girlfriends who absolutely REFUSE to disappear that have just about driven me to jump off a handy cliff a few times in the last 30 years.

The trouble with intimate relationships is that the parties involved start thinking they own the other person, not to mention the other person's time, affection, and energy. Yeeeesh!!!

I actually opted to be celibate for a few years, I got so sick of it. I know this is rare for a guy, but I did. I have lately been experiencing a change of heart on that. It's nice to know that life still holds a few surprises.

By the way, I have a friend called Jennifer who has a wicked sense of humour. She had mentioned to me that she had been practicing celibacy for some time (due to the same general reasons I gave above, probably). I said "Me too." She said, "Yeah, but in my case it was by choice."
