We saw him again at the Reading "Thirdsday Blues" session at 21 South Street. Opening act was "Blues Kitchen" a mix of Memphis Minnie vocals and Blind Blake fingerpicking. Very good but Bill opened with Johnson City Rag and showed how it should be done. With Chris Belshaw, his usual bass player he played a very relaxed and varied set on the Takamine acoustic and the bottleneck resonator. Sadly, we couldn't stay to the end as we had a train to catch. I hope rumours of his involvement with the blues nights at Jagz in Ascot prove correct.
