Further downstream, there are Faversham Folk Club at the Chimney Boy pub in Faversham, and open mike at the Smack in Whitstable, both on Wednesday nights.

And if you cross the river and head down the north bank, there is the Village Folk on Sundays near Tilbury. I believe there is some activity in the Leigh on Sea/Southend area too.
