Harry Boardman did a great, if somewhat anarchic, local version of this song on 'Golden Stream'. He collected it from three singers in Delph, near Oldham, and recalled that it was also sung with piano accompaniment by one Fred Smithers at the Star in Scouthead, nearby.

I don't have the lyrics to hand but will try to transcribe them. I remember Harry's version had the line "You took her up Scouthead".
