CBC -- Toronto -- Word was received this morning that Shame McBride of Blind River was arrested for violation of the Official Secrets Act. The arresting officer, J. Dana, refused comment. This is the first arrest under the Acct in many years and violations can still result in the death penalty if treason is proven. A press conference is scheduled for this afternoon; in the meantime McBride is being held at an undisclosed location.
