Subject: BS: I chose the wrong lifestyle
I started off my musical life playing folk music in clubs in England in the mid-60s. After about 4 years or so, I got into jug band music, then slipped into 1930s dance band music. The slippery slope continued: I started playing mainstream jazz, then 1950s rock'n roll - and then New Orleans funk. I was a high-roller. Sex'n drugs'n rock'n roll was my lifestyle. I could have been a contender. I was amplified. I was hot. I was loud. I was full of funk.

And then I came across Mudcat - and discovered, to my chagrin that the real heroes (the ones who got all the chicks and the fame and the acclaim) were the dyed-in-the-wool folkies like Art Thieme, Kendall, Frank Hamilton. Shit - where did I go wrong?
