Our local (AM) Old-Time Country music radio reported a couple of days ago that C/W Guitarist/fiddler Charlie Daniels suffered a stroke, I believe last Friday, while playing (snowmobiling) out in the snow.

As I haven't seen anything in the headlines, the reports might have been missed by anyone interested.

A Google found that the reports were out, but just weren't on the headline pages at my usual sources.

Charlie Daniels doing fine is a fairly typical report.

Johnny Western implied that Charlie had numbness in his entire left side, with some remaining "stiffness" in his left fingers, but that he would be back on tour almost immediately. The MSNBC report implies less severe initial effect, but confirms that he's recovering well.

Perhaps it's a reminder that all of us "over 30" may need to check the b.p. more often.
