hmillar, here are the lyrics to Kelvin Lass by Dominic. The tune is Cailin Deas, or rather a variation on it as adapted by Dominic.
KELVIN LASS (Dominic Behan)
There's a girl that I love With dark brown curls, And eyes of the blue-green sea, From her sparkling teeth to her tiny feet, She's the only lass for me. When I fold my arms around her magic charms, And feel her pulse beat fast, Then I always know where'er I go, I will take my Kelvin Lass.
Many times did I rove through Kelvin Grove, When the sweetest flowers had sprung, But none more rare than my lass so fair, Was ever there among. No rose could vie beneath the sky To be mirrored in the glass, Where walked my girl, my radiant pearl, My lovely kelvin lass.
Could she walk as my bride by Kelvin's side, And together hand in hand Share with me the world to be I would see a fairy land. Never more to pine for that heart so fine, 'Twould be dreaming come to pass, In my breast, I vow to love as now, Forever my Kelvin Lass.
I can read but not write ABC notation but if you like I can send you a scan of the music.
