I played a Martin that belonged to Bob Shane that was spuce top, koa back and sides. I didn't notice any differnce from my spruce/rosewood D35, 'course I was playing it[LOL] Damn beautiful thing though. He played it, then chucked it on the floor. Disscusted me. Mike
