I just realized you can move the little guy over and look at the more gentle hill that we actually did most of our sledding on.

If you look one block to the west on 34th St. where it intersects with Bell, that tip of the house you can see on the north side of the street is my mother's former 2 story and basement house built on that hillside. And all you can see is the top of the roof. A really steep hill. And the street behind it, one block long Bell, is a fatality waiting to happen for any idiotic sledder. It was a great neighborhood to grow up in, though. I remember being paid for babysitting with whole salmon a couple of times--the step father of some kids I sat with used to fish. I loved the fish, so I said okay, though I could have used that cash. I think back now, and my mother must have been thrilled when I walked in the door with a five pound fish. :)
