Did I ever tell you the reason I never sent any aspen?(You told me you would need a *joint* can't remember what it's really called, and/or a bole.) They branch off way high...too high to be reached without a ladder and I think the forest service would not approve of that. BUT, reading of your curing through burial, I wonder if an old piece off the ground would be of interest? We do see branches down and/or ones which have been culled. There's also a lot of fallen juniper and pinyon pine, but the stuff on the ground is usually old and very dry. They are beautiful when polished up, though.
