Kat... it was never a big deal about the Aspen. I 'suspect' that it might be pretty bland, and I have NO idea if it spalts in any interesting ways. If you ever see a piece on the ground where the end grain looks streaky & such, and isn't already cracked & rotting, take a picture! (No use using the mail without being sure...and I DO have lots of wood.

Now, I know a woman who used to turn, and who went out of her way to collect Juniper when she was out that way. I just have never tried it...but maybe sometime....
