This is a great loss, I think, for Pennsylvania, for the Democratic Party, for Congress, and for the American people. Whatever you thought of Murtha's political views, he was the real thing and stood up for what he believed in -- sometimes angering the opposition party but at other times pissing off his own. We do not see the likes of him in Congress anywhere near often enough.
