Cane toads are a right royal pain in the arse but they don't do people any damage unless the people are extremely stupid. Stingers, on the other hand, are a dangerous proposition; I mentioned them above but RangerSteve has used their more formal common name. And they're found in all coasts north of the tropic.

All that beautiful water and you have to beware of stingers if you go in!
