No excuse for them but out of interest. The Cadbury management had intended closing the Bristol site anyway, apparently. The biggest complaint appears to be not so much that it is closing but that Kraft said they would not - and then did! I don't really see that the outcome would have been any different. 400 workers would have been out of work but complaining that a British company had done it rather than an American one.
