The article linked omits that the "standard" sized Frisbee^® is the perfect holder for a commonly-used-but-much-too-flimsy paper plate.

In recent years one sees far more Frisbees^® used as "plate holders" in the festival campgrounds than are to be seen flying through the sky. (Possibly due to the increase in obesity and lethargy among the population, or maybe just because a lot of us who camp at festivals are too old to chase the ^$%#@$! things.)
