I went to the link, and, as I had guessed, the Turkish gov't made threats to Microsoft and the authors, if they so much as mentioned the Armenians. Even the watered down mention is regarded as being defiant, since it still annoys the Turks. This was written about, incidentally, in "The Chronicle of Higher Education".I have often wondered how the State Department responds to this sort of activity, which essentially is of a foreign government attempting to supress free speech in this country.
