I always thought that a team had an option to take a free kick instatnly or ask for time to take it.

This sort of situation has happened in the past and I remember Andy Gray dealing with this.

Doesn't teh ref ask the palyer if they want to take it quickly. If they say yes, they do.

The fault is with Fabianski who had a nightmare game. Why did he pick the ball up. Having done that he should have thrown it away.
