Thanks Jon and Earl. I settled on an Epiphone for my first guitar. Is is a simple dreadnaught. I am quite happy with it. It is very resonant. I have put on extra-light strings until my fingers toughen up and they sound quite full on it. When I am ready for a resonator I will certainly look at the Biscuit.

Jon, that is a site I didn't know about. It looks like one to keep my eye on and I have bookmarked it.
