Try this: Erinnerungsort. Materialien zur Kulturgeschichte

A very interesting site, not least because of the numerous interviews with people who knew Ernst Busch. His career as an actor and singer of both entertainment and political songs was not ended by Hitler (though he barely escaped with his life). He moved to the GDR and was one of their most influential artists, working closely with people like Brecht and Hanns Eisler, till he fell out with the party and was sidelined in the Sixties.

Busch would have been 110 last January; his death occurred 30 years ago in June. He also took part in the German fleet's rising in Kiel that started the November 1918 revolution which ended the Kaiser's rule. We're hoping to present an exhibition on Busch's life in Kiel in November, including a reading by Jochen Voit from his biography if he is available.
