I have heard it rumoured that, when Brian Johnston [in]famously declared, "The bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey", he admitted to a friend later that he did so in full knowledge of how it would sound, but with the get-out that nobody could come back at him for anything more than an accurate statement with an unfortunate combination of names for which he was not responsible and did not recognise the implications at the time in the 'heat of the moment'.

I don't know how true this may be.
