I don't want Democrats getting a vast amount of money from special interests any more than I want Republicans getting it. The Democratic party is destroyed by that kind of special interest money flooding their coffers rather than being helped by it. Because the base of the Democratic party is not served by the agenda of the special interests that have the kind of resources to be able to do that sort of thing, and when the Democratic party base is turned off by the behavior of those they vote for, that spells the death of the Democratic party every bit as much as if large amounts of money go to the Republicans.
